Former Felons Can Regain Their Right to Vote and Participate in November 2006 Election

A Microvote Infinity voting machineThe ACLU-Right to Vote Campaign In partnership with the NAACP TN State Conference-Press & Publicity Committee will hold a Town Hall meeting to educate the general public about the new law that streamlines the voting restoration process for individuals who have completed the requirements of their sentancing and probation.

A special panel of expert guests will explain the new statute that  was recently signed by Governor Phil Bredesen last month, and discuss the process which will return to former felons their voting rights. This will enable many to be ready to exercise their vote in the November 2006 Election.
