Clarksville, Tenn. – The Austin Peay State University Department of Languages and Literature and the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts will sponsor a reading featuring a best-selling author.
Jennifer Finney Boylan will be reading her memoir, “She’s Not There,”
Boylan is a novelist, memoirist, screenwriter and teacher. She is a professor of English at Colby College. Currently, she is working on a new nonfiction work about growing up in a haunted house, which she hopes to release in 2007.

Boylan is a novelist, memoirist, screenwriter and teacher. She is a professor of English at Colby College. Currently, she is working on a new nonfiction work about growing up in a haunted house, which she hopes to release in 2007.

Since the memoir was published, it became a chance for Boylan to inform people on a condition that she says affects some 40,000 people in the United States. “The problem is that most people don’t know about it,” Boylan says. “And one reason is that people who make the transition frequently vanish off the radar and go about the business of living normal lives.”
