Video: An Inconvenient Truth out on DVD

An Inconvenient TruthAl Gore’s important documentary on the dangers of climate change and global warming was released on DVD on November 21st. I recommend everyone see it as soon as possible. So I am showing it here. I also recommend that you go out and buy yourself a copy. It’s also available at Wal-Mart, Borders Books, and Hastings. Then as the Producers encourage you to do share it with your friends and family.

Some of theĀ nation’s top climate scientists gave An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore’s documentary on global warming, five stars for accuracy according to the USA Today Newspaper.

Climate change is real, it’s accepted as a fact by a the majority of climate scientists.

Science Magazine analyzed 928 peer-reviewed scientific papers on global warming published between 1993 and 2003. Not a single one challenged the scientific consensus the earthā€™s temperature is rising due to human activity. – Think Progress

The detractors of global warming and thus this film, usually have direct links to the fossil fuel industries which are produce the bulk of the chemicals that are believed to cause global warming.

What particularly riles the green movement is Exxon’s funding of several groups that continue to argue that the science doesn’t justify caps. Among them is the Competitive Enterprise Institute, which received a total of $465,000 in 2003 from Exxon and the company’s charitable foundation, according to a corporate-giving report that Exxon posts on its Web site. – Common Dreams

Some of the predicted effects of global warming include more extreme weather, destabilization of local climates, Sea level rise and ocean temperature increases, acidification, changes in sea currents, glacier retreat which can lead to a scarcity of fresh water, increased spread of disease, and more.

It’s something we should all become more informed about, Ā it can affect all of our futures. Watch the film below and make your own decision on the matter.
