CPD checkpoints yield results

The Clarksville Police Department’s Sobriety Checkpoint and saturation patrols (partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office) October 31 and November 1, 2008 between 2200 hours and 0400 hours yielded the following results:

There were 547 vehicles which passed through the Sobriety Checkpoint.  The Sobriety Checkpoint and saturation patrols yielded 104 charges:

Nine DUIs, 1 Implied Consent, 1 Reckless Driving, 4  Failure to Use Reasonable Care, 26 Speeding, 15 Insurance Law, 4 Seat Belt, 9 Equipment Violations, 9 Driver License Violations, 2 Revoked/Suspended Driver Licenses, 1 Improper Turns, 10 Vehicle Registration, 5 Following Too Closely, 3 “Move Over” Law Violations, 2 Traffic Signal Violations, 1 Public Intoxication, 1 Tint,  and 1 Drug.
