APSU National Alumni Association announces 2009 traveling tailgates

Austin Peay State University LogoAustin Peay State University’s National Alumni Association has announced the 2009 Traveling Tailgate schedule to support the 2009 Governors football season.

This summer, the Traveling Tailgate will feature seven locations spanning Tennessee, Alabama and Kentucky. All APSU alumni and friends are invited to meet University President Tim Hall, Athletics Director Dave Loos and head football coach Rick Christophel to discuss the upcoming football schedule.

The series kicks off from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 13 at Café Ole, 959 S. Cooper St., Memphis.

The Traveling Tailgate calendar also includes the following stops:

  • 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 19 at Logan’s Roadhouse, 2400 Elliston Place, Nashville.
  • 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 2 at Market Street Café, 445 Providence Main St. NW, Huntsville, Ala.
  • 6-8 p.m., Friday, June 5 at Calhoun’s at Beardon Hill, 6515 Kingston Pike, Knoxville.
  • 5:30-8 p.m. EST, Saturday, June 6 at the home of Lee and Scott Fish at 2309 Brandon Lane, Kingsport.
  • 6-8 p.m., Monday, June 8 at Dot’s American Restaurant, 125 Turkey Creek Drive, Hopkinsville, Ky.
  • 6-8 p.m. EST, Tuesday, June 9 at the Fox and Hound Pub and Grill, 2040 Hamilton Place Blvd., Suite 150, Chattanooga.

The Traveling Tailgate events are free to all APSU alumni and friends. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided at each event.
