Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce to hold annual Warrior Week Celebration

The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their 3rd Annual Clarksville Warrior Week, May 1-8. The week-long celebration honors military men, women and their families and gives local residents and businesses a chance to show appreciation for their service and sacrifice.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Sunday, May 2nd – Church appreciation services
  • Monday, May 3rd – Saturday, May 8 – Business Discount Week with local businesses offering discounts to military personnel and their immediate family members
  • Monday, May 3rd – Military Marksmanship Competition sponsored by David King and Mid South Shooter Supply
  • Tuesday, May 4th – Godfather Golf Tournament at Clarksville Country Club. Registration at 11:30 a.m., lunch at 12:00 p.m., tee off at 1:00 p.m., dinner at 5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 4th – Movie Night at Great Escape at 6:30 p.m. sponsored by Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union. Open to military ID card holders; first come, first serve.
  • Wednesday, May 5th – City-Wide Lunches with local restaurants offering discounted lunches to military ID card holders
  • Thursday, May 6th – Eternal Flame Ceremony at 5:00 p.m. in Public Square
  • Saturday, May 8th – Military Appreciation Day Picnic and Fun Fair at Heritage Park, sponsored by the City of Clarksville, 1:00-5:00 p.m.. Fun fair will include inflatables, pony rides, petting zoo, free food, and a softball challenge between Fort Campbell soldiers and Clarksville-Montgomery County. A Movie in the Park will be shown at 6:00 p.m. and is open to the public.

Military Appreciation Day Picnic

The City of Clarksville will host the 3rd Annual Military Appreciation Day Picnic as part of the weeklong celebration known as Warrior Week.   Each year, the Military Affairs Committee of the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce organizes Warrior Week to honor all military personnel and their families. The City of Clarksville is proud to show their support by hosting this free and fun picnic.

The Annual Military Appreciation Day Picnic welcomes all active duty, retired military and their families to Heritage Park Saturday, May 8th from 1pm to 5pm.  Come out and enjoy free food and drinks.  Kids can jump on inflatables, play games, get their faces painted and much more! The picnic is free with a valid Military ID.

Movies in the Park

After the picnic, join us at Heritage Park for the opening night of our Movies in the Park season featuring the movie Forrest Gump.  Pre-movie activities will begin at 6pm with the movie following at dusk.  Be sure to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs.  You are welcome to bring picnic baskets, but concessions will also be available.  Admission to the movie is free.
