Radford named Outstanding Trustee of the Year

Memphis, TN — Trustees from all 95 counties selected Brenda Radford as the Outstanding Trustee of the Year for the Middle Tennessee Division.  The banquet was held at the Doubletree Hotel in Memphis at the Annual Tennessee County Trustees Conference.

The coveted Outstanding Trustee Award is given in recognition of innovation, community involvement, service to the State of Tennessee, and overall achievement while in Office.  The recipient was selected by ballot and was named according to each Grand Division.

Jay West, Executive Director of the County Officials Association of Tennessee, presented the award to Radford last week.

Tennessee County Trustees Association President Judy Patton of Dyer County said, “Brenda has been proactive in legislation and regulations that affect county government and tax collections.  She has provided outstanding public service to the citizens of Montgomery County and is very deserving of this award.”

Radford, a former District 2 Montgomery County Commissioner, was elected to the Trustee’s office in 2006.  She is running unopposed for a second term as Montgomery County Trustee in August, 2010.
