2010 Master Gardener Course Accepting Applications

Have you ever thought about becoming a Montgomery County Master Gardener?  Well, now is the time to apply!

Please keep in mind that this is a volunteer based organization that depends greatly on your time and commitment to the program.

You will be required to complete 40 hours of volunteer service and earn 8 Continuing Education Units within the first year after the class sessions to receive your official Master Gardener certification.  The volunteer hours and responsibilities will be reviewed on orientation night to clarify any questions.

All classes will be held at the Montgomery County Extension office on Tuesday evenings 6:00pm-9:00pm beginning August 17th and ending November 16th.

Please read the following very carefully:

Applications will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis and must be  received by August 3rd, 2010. The first sixty (60) completed applications received will be automatically accepted into the class. All others will be place on a waiting list and notified if there is an opening.

The fee for the class is $100.00, however couples may be given a reduced rate ($125.00) if sharing a book. Please remit payment with your application!
Checks should be made payable to the Montgomery County Extension Office.

Once your application has been received, you will be sent a letter notifying you whether or not you have been accepted into the class this year.
