Crye-Leike, REALTORS Welcomes Kitty Kimbro To Clarksville/Sango Sales Team

Montgomery County Realtor Chooses Real Estate Over Retirement

When planning for retirement most individuals and couples look primarily to savings, investments and perhaps a pension to carry them through the golden years. With the future more uncertain than ever these days – more and more people are considering a second or ‘next’ career to carry them through financially after retirement age.

Recently licensed real estate agent Kitty Kimbro says she and her husband Sam – who is now seven years away from a retirement from the Nashville and Eastern Railroad in Lebanon – see their post-retirement future in home sales.

“Sam and I both decided we would like to be in the real estate field when he retires from the railroad,” said Kitty. “We both enjoy working with people and feel that this field would provide us with not only a means of support but a way of making a difference in people’s lives as well.”

Kitty came to settle on launching her new career in real estate with Crye-Leike, REALTORS – at the company’s Clarksville/Sango branch office on Madison Street. She says that’s where friends in real estate suggested as the best place for people new to the business to ‘learn all there is to learn.’

“We were advised to join Crye-Leike in general and Managing Broker David Green with the Sango office in particular,” said Kitty. “Crye-Leike has a college that is free for all of its agents and I have now completed most of it. I have learned a great deal about what I can do to represent and protect my clients throughout the process of buying or selling a home.”

While her husband continues working as an agent & dispatcher for the railroad – where he’s been the past 23 years… Kitty moves ‘full steam’ into real estate sales.

Before she became a licensed Realtor Kitty did factory work for the Ferro Corporation in Nashville, she owned and operated an ABC Activity Center in Lebanon and most recently she was a Substitute Teacher for the Robertson County Board of Education and worked with the Afterschool Program. In real estate – and specifically with Crye-Leike – Kitty and husband Sam see an amazing and challenging retirement selling real estate.

“Buying and/or selling a home is the biggest financial transaction that most of us are ever involved in during our lifetime,” said Kitty. “It’s something that most of us do only a few times and for this reason most of us are not able to learn the process and fully protect our own interests – which is why we hire a real estate professional to protect those interests.”

Kitty says she and Sam look forward to getting to know the Clarksville community, being of service to them as Realtors and making as many lifelong friends as possible.
