“Bringing the Vision of Student Success to Reality!”
The 6th annual Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation’s Vision to Reality Banquet Dinner and Auction event will be held on Friday, Nov. 5th at the Clarksville Country Club at 6:00 p.m. This special event is the Foundation’s signature fundraising banquet and opportunity to bring awareness to the community about programs supported through the Education Foundation. Money raised this year will go toward the Academic Awards Recognition Program, Great Idea Teacher Grants, Kinder-Kits for Kindergartners, STEM Technology Initiative, Education Foundation scholarships and the new Teacher Warehouse.

Tickets for the event are $75 (1/2 of which is tax-deductible) and are available online or at Central Office located at 621 Gracey Avenue.
Everyone in the community is invited to enjoy a night on the town with fabulous food and a chance to bid on some one of a kind auction items. Past auction items have included: Titans and Predators tickets/paraphernalia, vacation packages, restaurant gift cards, exquisite artwork and so much more.

The Foundation is also currently accepting scholarship endowments and memorial scholarship funds for individuals or organizations in memory of their loved ones.

Foundation Programs 2010-2011
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination)
- Students who participate in AVID have a 99.1% high school graduation rate and help school districts to close the achievement gap.
- AVID is an acronym that stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. This organization is an in-school support system for students in grades 9-12 who fall somewhere in the middle academically and prepares them for collegiate eligibility and success.
- The Foundation supports several $1,000 competitive college scholarships for each high school AVID program in Montgomery County. These scholarships level the playing field for minority, rural, low income, and any student without a college-going tradition in their family.
Great Idea Teacher Grants
- User-friendly (up to) $1,00 grants awarded to teachers who want to bring a classroom or school project into fruition for the benefit of student achievement. Any teacher in Montgomery County Schools can apply for this grant
Academic Awards Recognition Program
- For the past 20 years the Foundation has recognized with awards, receptions, media recognition and banquet dinners the students in CMCSS who maintain academic excellence. These are first, second and third year recipients honored who maintain a 93 average for two consecutive semesters. Over 8,000 students have been awarded this high honor to date.
Kin-Der-Kits for Elementary Schools
- Kin-Der Kits are donated to parents at Kindergarten Round-up in May to help
Prepare incoming kindergartners for school. Kits include basic school supplies, materials to help practice fundamentals (colors, numbers, alphabet, etc.) as well as documents required for registration, a readiness checklist, and lunch information.
These kits help parents understand what their child needs to know to have a successful kindergarten experience.
STEM Technology Initiative
- The Foundation will focus each year on a district suggested program to assist with the implementation of Science, Technology, and Engineering and Math principles to help better prepare our students for 21st century learning.
- For 2010-2011 we will work to add additional model classrooms in the schools where teachers can incorporate pictures, sound and animation into their daily lessons to help students ability to recall basic facts and understanding of complex systems through multimedia.
CMC Teacher Warehouse
- The Foundation, in conjunction with Hands-on Clarksville, provides a free teacher supply store for licensed CMCSS teachers. The primary purpose of the Teacher Warehouse is to serve the educational needs of children attending CMC schools by providing a unique means to transfer donated, value-purchased and created products from businesses and individuals free to teachers for use in their classrooms.

The Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation, INC. is a non-profit consortium of community individuals, businesses, industry professionals and public school staff, interested in the improvement of public education.
The Foundation is a broad-based, non-profit organization with the exclusive purpose to serve as a charitable institution to aid in the development and improvement of the quality of education in the public schools in Montgomery County, Tennessee.
The intent of the Foundation is to secure and distribute contributions from individuals, corporations, and funds for the benefit and aid of students in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.
