Pedestrian Hit on Fort Campbell Blvd in Extremely Critical Condition

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On November 17th, 2010, around 7:32pm, a pedestrian was hit by a motor vehicle while crossing the 1900 Block of Fort Campbell Blvd. 

Two pedestrians, one male and one female, had crossed the northbound lanes of Fort Campbell Blvd, were standing in the center left turn lane, and waiting to cross the southbound lanes of Fort Campbell Blvd.

A 2006 Dodge Charger driven by Michael Clements, 18, of Clarksville was traveling northbound in the left lane of Fort Campbell Blvd, entered the center left turn lane to make a left turn onto Eva Drive, did not see the pedestrians in the lane, and collided with the male pedestrian. The female pedestrian, Shirley Pinckney of Clarksville, was not injured.

Michael Clements and his passenger were not injured in the crash.

The male pedestrian was Lifeflighted to Vanderbilt. We are awaiting a status update at this time. His name will not be released until family members can be notified.

Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.
