APSU faculty, staff participate in paper, program presentations

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Three faculty and staff members at Austin Peay State University recently have brought recognition to the University through their professional and scholarly activities.

Dr. Norbert Puszkar, associate professor of German, gave a paper at the East Central Conference of the American Society of Eighteenth Century Studies held November 6th in Pittsburgh, PA. The title of his paper was “Seume’s Walk to Syracuse in the Year 1802. Recovery and Coverage of History.”

Gregory R. Singleton, dean of students, and Dr. Berrylin Martin, Student Counseling Services, recently presented an educational program, titled “Fostering a Community of Engagement,” for faculty and staff. The session focused on working with potentially disruptive students on the APSU main campus.

Singleton also recently presented a program, titled “Voices of Experience: An Inspirational Reflection on the SACSA Practicum and Internship Placement Exchange Program” at the Southern Association for College Student Affairs Conference in Panama City, FL.
