Clarksville, TN – The 911 Center and law enforcement were kept busy with the quickly accumulating snow in Clarksville. The roads started to become very hazardous as the wet snow hit the ground, rapidly creating icy spots along with large amounts of slush on the road. The side streets went from bad to worse in a short period of time.
In the time frame from 10:00am – 3:00pm, the 911 Center fielded approximately 370 weather related calls. Law enforcement responded to about 59 non-injury accidents, 11 injury accidents, and 14 motorist assists.
Schools should have been closed earlier. Loaded Buses stranded. Parents Were not notified. Children’s lives should not be placed in jeopardy. CMCSS dropped the ball on this one.
And then they lied and said no wrecked buses, but people have to trust them with our children!
