Roads will have slick spots in the morning

Ice & Snow Take It SlowClarksville, TN – With the temperature dropping to around 19 degrees, slushy spots on the road will freeze overnight. There will also be icy patches or black ice on the roads. Motorists are cautioned to be careful in the morning driving into work.

The condition of main roads should improve later in the morning, however with cloudy skies and a high of only 28 degrees, most side roads will remain icy and slick. There is a 60 percent chance of snow again Wednesday. For more weather information, visit Discover Clarksville’s Weather.

Austin Peay State University

Austin Peay State UniversityDue to hazardous weather-related conditions, Austin Peay State University will be closed Tuesday, February 8th. This includes the main campus, the Austin Peay Center at Fort Campbell and Austin Peay at The Renaissance Center in Dickson.

All evening activities and classes are canceled.

City of Clarksville

City of ClarksvilleCity Chief of Staff Charlie Koon has notified city department heads and employees to use their discretion on Tuesday morning’s commute, and employees should notify their supervisors if they will be arriving late for work.

While all city offices will be open on Tuesday, employee safety remains a priority.
