Green Thumb Festival Planned for May 7th 2011

Montgomery County Habitat RestoreMontgomery County – Start the growing season with a bang! It’s time for a day that is totally dedicated to lawn care and gardening. The Green Thumb Festival will host an entire spectrum of fun, vendors, education and food.

If it has something to do with lawn care or gardening, we will have it there. Nursery Vendors, Tool Sharpening, Activities for the kids, Presentations to help you in your lawn and gardening adventures.

Thanks to the Montgomery County Habitat Restore, who is donating their parking lot, we will be having the festival at a convenient, down town location with plenty of parking and open space. It is a come and go event with plenty to keep you busy.

If your interested in being a Green Thumb Festival vendor for 2011, Joe would like ask that you fill out the  2011 Vendor Application. The vendor application must be submitted by March 5th to be publicized through brochures, letters, website, facebook, and posters.

It is important to know the Festival will have events for children, garden related presentations, tool sharpening, and door prizes.  If anyone would like to help with those parts of the festival we would ask that you note which event you would like to participate in.
