Winter Storm moves into the area

Ice & Snow Take It SlowClarksville, TN – Snow has started to fall across Clarksville and with it comes another Winter storm warning for the area. There is a 100% chance of snow throughout this afternoon and tonight. The high today is suppose to reach 27 degrees with a low tonight of 15 degrees.

Roads will become covered in snow and become slick as the day progresses. Motorists should use caution on the drive home this afternoon. Those that can leave work early, should leave early for home. For more weather information, visit Discover Clarksville’s Weather.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools were closed today. Clarksville Academy closed early due to the incoming weather storm. Austin Peay State University will close at 2:30pm. The Austin Peay Center at Fort Campbell will close today at 2:00pm. Fort Campbell’s workforce will begin early release as of 1:30pm.

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System

Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools were not be in session on Wednesday, February 9th due to a National Weather Service winter storm forecast.

Fort Campbell Schools

Fort Campbell Schools will release early today, Wednesday February 9th: 12:15pm release for secondary schools, 1:00pm for elementary schools. Afternoon Pre K, PCSD and all after-school activities are canceled.

Clarksville Academy

The Clarksville AcademyClarksville Academy will close at noon today. Bus riders and student drivers will be allowed to leave school at 11:30am. The varsity game for tonight against White House Heritage has been rescheduled for Saturday night at 6:00pm.

Austin Peay State University

Austin Peay State University

APSU will close all campuses at 2:30pm today, February 9th due to hazardous road conditions resulting from inclement weather. All classes and activities beginning at or after 2:30pm today are cancelled.

Tonight’s talk by Robert F. Kennedy Jr is being rescheduled and will be announced as soon as new information becomes available.

The Austin Peay Center at Fort Campbell will close at 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 9th due to hazardous road conditions resulting from the inclement weather.

City of Clarksville

City of ClarksvilleBecause of hazardous driving conditions, city employees are being allowed to use their discretion about leaving work early. Employees have been asked to notify their supervisor if they will arrive late to work on Thursday morning because of road conditions.

Some offices, such as Finance and city court have already closed today. City offices are expected to be open at regular times on Thursday, unless other notification is made.

Fort Campbell KY

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Due to inclement weather conditions, unit commanders and Directors are authorized up to a two hour early release for their workforce, beginning at 1:30pm. Inclement weather and mission essential remain on duty, post remains open. 

All activities supporting the Eagle Remembrance Ceremony, as well as Reintegration operations, will remain as currently scheduled.
