City Council Retreat

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan is hosting a governing workshop for City Council members during a retreat on Friday and Saturday at Montgomery Bell State Park.

After arrival Friday morning, the group will meet for a session on ethics that will feature Jay Moeck, CPA and Certified Fraud Examiner with the state Registry of Election Finance, and Vickie Koelman , Montgomery County Administrator of Elections.

After lunch, Gary Jaeckel, a municipal management consultant with the University of Tennessee’s Municipal Technical Assistance Service, will lead a session, followed by a program about the state’s Sunshine Law that will be conducted by Elisha Hodge, JD, with the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office of Open Records Counsel .

On Saturday morning, Jeff Clark, MTSU professor and facilitator, will talk about leadership in public policy and Mayor McMillan will make some closing remarks.

The group is scheduled to head back to Clarksville around noon on Saturday.

9:30am – Arrive Montgomery Bell State Park – Allow approx 1 hour travel time
