Boston Pops To Make First-Ever Nashville Appearance On August 20th at Greer Stadium

World-Famous Orchestra, Kenny Loggins to visit Sounds’ Ballpark during Minor League Summer Tour

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Conductor Keith Lockhart and America’s Orchestra, the famous Boston Pops, will visit Herschel Greer Stadium for a 7:30pm concert on Saturday, August 20th during their first-ever Minor League Ballparks tour.

Iconic singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins will join Mr. Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra for an American Pastimes tour program that features music inspired by three of this country’s favorite pastimes – baseball, movies, and rock ’n’ roll.

The common thread throughout the program will be legendary film music themes, featuring music from one of the most memorable baseball films of our time, The Natural, a tribute to renowned film composer John Williams, and Kenny Loggins singing “Footloose”, from the ever-popular film of the same name.

“I can’t think of a better marriage between the worlds of music and sports than that between America’s Orchestra and America’s favorite pastime,” said Lockhart. “With the legendary Kenny Loggins joining us, this concert is sure to bring audiences a once-in-a-lifetime experience that creates cherished memories and brings a wonderful new dimension to a summer at the ballpark.”

Nashville is one of 10 cities in the first-ever upcoming Hollywood Hits summer tour of minor league baseball parks for the Boston Pops. Previously, members of the orchestra have been featured in performances at many of the country’s leading sporting events, including those of their hometown Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics.

“I’m extremely excited and proud to be associated with Boston Pops for their first-ever tour of minor league baseball stadiums,” said Kenny Loggins. “It is a true pleasure to work with such a prestigious and talented orchestra, and I’m looking forward to having the honor of performing with them.”

Sounds Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase tickets beginning at 10:00am today (February 23rd) as part of a special pre-sale offer before tickets go on sale at 9:00am on Monday, February 28th to the general public.

Tickets prices are $35.00 and $50.00 for stadium reserved and $75.00 for exclusive on-field reserved seating, plus tax and applicable fees. Groups of 12 or more will receive a special ticket rate.
