Clarksville, TN – The Kenwood Middle Varsity Baseball team had it’s season opening game on March 4th at Kenwood. They defeated Trigg County 4-3. Ivan Purcell was the winning pitcher, tossing a complete game. He allowed just 2 hits. Zack Lee was a brick wall behind the plate.
Michael Merriweather lead the defense, several double plays were turned during the game. Devonte Maffett and Joe Allen were a terror on the base path stealing 6 bases between them. The whole team stepped up and played well.
 The Junior Varsity team also played hard but came up short, losing to Trigg County 8-2. Two first year players, Harold Hariston and Jeremy Palomo had a big hits for us. Alex Brack and KJ Williams both made their pitching debut. They showed some excellent control.
