Requesting Public Assistance Locating and Identifying an Aggravated Assault Suspect

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is trying to identify and locate a man responsible for intentionally hitting a pedestrian, twice, with a car. On May 2nd, 2011, around 2:00pm, two men were crossing College Street near the intersection of College and Riverside Drive when a male stopped to let the men cross in front of his vehicle.

When the men were in front of the vehicle, the driver moved forward as though he was going to hit them. There were words exchanged and the two men walked behind the vehicle and walked onto a business parking lot; the vehicle pulled up to the left turn lane of College Street and Riverside Drive.

The suspect was driving blue metallic color car similar looking to the Malibu shown in this picture.

The driver of the vehicle decided to make a right turn onto the parking lot where the pedestrians were located and ran into one of the pedestrians, hitting him in the legs. The impact forced the pedestrian to slam his arms down on the hood of the car and then fall to the ground; there may now be dents in the hood and the side of the vehicle.

The 23 year old pedestrian got up and the driver grazed him again as the vehicle was fleeing the scene. The pedestrian was already wearing a cast for a broken arm before the vehicle hit him. The impact from the collision forced the pins loose from the pedestrian’s broken arm and caused a laceration which required stitches. There were multiple witnesses to the assault.

The suspect is described as  a white male, light brown hair, possibly in his early 20s. The vehicle was a Chevy, blue metallic color, possibly a Malibu or Caprice, with a Tennessee Disabled Licensed Plate. The photograph is not of the vehicle, but according to the victim, is close in color and body style.
