Fort Campbell, KY – The 2nd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade will host a memorial dedication ceremony Friday, May 13th, 2011, at 11:30am in honor of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
“My hope for this memorial is that, by seeing the great affection paid to those who have blazoned the skies we fly, current and future troops will be inspired to similar greatness,” said Lt. Col. Hank Taylor, 2-17th Cavalry Regiment commander. “It is a historical touchstone, linking our past to the present and enabling us all to remember and respect the sacrifices of those who served and the Families who continue to support them. It will be dedicated in honor of those cavalrymen; past, present and future who will always be ‘Out Front.'”
