Phase 2 – Bridge Deck Pour

Clarksville, TN – As work on the new bridge over Red River Continues on Wilma Rudolph in Clarksville, the following lane closure will be in effect on the dates and times listed above.
Wilma Rudolph Blvd. at Red River Bridge will be reduced to one lane with Law Enforcement, contractor personnel, message and arrow boards, signs, and traffic control devices – drums and cones, alternating traffic flow as needed.
Equipment and concrete trucks will be staged from the new south bound lanes completed in phase 1 last fall, while all traffic flow will be in one lane in the north bound lane – this will be over the old cantilever bridge in the north bound lane. Due to the narrow width of this existing bridge, traffic will only be running in one direction at a time, with north bound and south bound traffic alternated in each direction as needed.
The proposed bridge is to be built in 3 phases – this work is part of Phase 2, which is construction of the south bound lane section of the proposed bridge and pouring of the concrete bridge deck.
If weather does not permit this work on the dates listed above, additional updates will be posted as needed to reschedule. In addition, the third night (Friday the 27th) might not be needed if all work goes as exactly planned. If delays are encountered on the first two nights, then this work will continue on the 27th to complete as needed.
