Voting Deadline Extended for Patriotic City Contest

Best of the RoadThe deadline to vote for Clarksville as the Most Patriotic City in America in Rand McNally’s Best of the Road competition has been extended until May 30. The original deadline was Monday.

“Due to overwhelming responses and your excellent displays of hometown pride, we’ve extended voting for the Best Small Towns in America until May 30th,”the company’s website announced Monday.

Clarksville was entered in the Most Patriotic category of the contest that celebrates lesser-known or off-the-beaten-path locations that have a unique or special character. As of this morning, Clarksville had 558 online votes, which was leading all other entrants.

People who would like to participate can go to www.bestoftheroad.com and register as a user, select Tennessee and Clarksville, then write a review about why you believe the city is the best in the Most Patriotic category.
