2011 USAA and MWR Independence Week Carnival
Come out to Fort Campbell’s Division Parade Field June 29th through July 5th to try your hand at one of the games of skill throughout the midway, feel your heart race on one of the Belle City Amusement carnival rides, and recall great memories as you feast on traditional carnival food and drinks. Make sure to stop by the Budweiser Tent, where you can purchase ice cold adult beverages from the friendly Hooper Bowling staff. This year there will be two concerts for your listening enjoyment. July 2nd let your ears feast on the musical talents of Nashville recording artists Darryl Worley, Randy Owen, Mark Wills, Teddy Gentry and Buddy Jewel. Then on July 4th enjoy the sweet sounds of Laura Bell-Bundy and Jacob Lyda. Need more? Well don’t forget about the Parachute Demonstration Team, the Salute to the States and the ever popular Fort Campbell Fireworks Display!Individual ride tickets will be available for $1.00 or you may purchase a sheet of 25 tickets for $20.00. June 29th is Dollar Day and all rides are just $1.00 each (discount sheets and arm bands will not be sold on this day). On the other days of the carnival, rides will require no more than 4 tickets for adult rides or 3 tickets for children’s rides. Daily armbands may be purchased in lieu of tickets for unlimited midway rides. All armband and ticket sales are final. Armbands will not be available for purchase on Dollar Day. Skill games will not cost more than $3.00 per try. The 2011 USAA and MWR Independence Week Carnival times and specials are:
No glass bottles, cans, pets, outside food, outside alcohol, or personal weapons will be permitted. An adult or guardian must accompany all children under 18 years of age. Patrons with non-decal vehicles who will be attending the carnival from June 29th through July 5th must obtain a visitor’s pass at Gate 4 or 7. Drivers must present a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and vehicle registration to obtain a visitor’s pass. Anyone over the age of 16 must present a photo ID upon entering the Installation. Traffic restrictions will be in place following the fireworks display on July 4th. Gates 1, 3 and 5 will be open for outbound traffic only. Market Garden Road from 52nd Street to Screaming Eagle Boulevard will allow one-way traffic towards Gate 4 and Market Garden from 52nd to Glider Road will allow one-way traffic towards Gate 7. Wickham Road will be one-way (towards Gate 4) from 47th Street to 42nd Street, and one-way (towards Gate 7) from 47th Street to 52nd Street. Traffic will flow normally during all other carnival times. Personal fireworks are prohibited in accordance with Fort Campbell Regulation 420-24, paragraph 14-16.
