Queen City Quartet to perform in Guthrie

Queen City QuartetGuthrie, KY – Clarksville’s own, Queen City Quartet will be traveling to Guthrie, KY this weekend with performances to be held at the Senior Citizen’s Building, located at 233 South Ewing, on Friday, July 29th at 7:00pm and on Sunday July 31st at 2:30pm. They will be performing musical selections from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.

The Queen City Quartet is made up of Debbie Wilson, piano and vocals; Carolyn Riggins, vocals; Pete Silk, Percussion; Charlie Winn, vocals and Kris McCarthy Houser, vocals.

Wilson is the choral director for Northeast High School and Riggins is choral director for Northwest High School. Silk was a member of the U.S. Army Band for 22 years until his retirement. Winn is a retired band director. Houser is a familiar face to the local theatre goers, having played numerous roles in local theatres including the title role of Eva Peron in “Evita”, at the Roxy Regional Theatre.
