Registration open for Contestants to participate in the 2012 Miss Tennessee USA and Teen USA Pageants

Clarksville Montgomery County Convention and Visitors BureauClarksville, TN – Clarksville will host the 2012 Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA Pageants at the Austin Peay State University Music and Mass Communications Building Concert Hall on October 7th through 8th, 2011.

Pageant officials have announced that applications are being accepted from young women throughout the state who would like to compete in this year’s Miss Tennessee USA and Teen USA Pageants. Applications for the pageant can be found on www.misstennesseeusa.com under the “Apply Now” section.

Qualified applicants must be a resident of Tennessee, a single female (never married and never had a child) and a United States citizen. Those wishing to apply must also be at least 18-years-old and less than 27-years-old for Miss Tennessee USA or at least 14-years-old and less than 19-years-old for the Teen pageant as of February 1st, 2012.

If selected to participate, delegates will be judged in three equal categories consisting of personal interview, swimsuit and evening wear competitions. The new titleholders will be awarded a prize package that includes scholarships and the opportunity to compete for the title of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA, respectively.

A seminar for contestants will be held in Clarksville on Saturday, September 10th at the Riverview Inn, 50 College Street. Tickets will go on sale Monday, September 12th, starting at 9:00am. The Miss Tennessee USA and Teen USA Pageants are directed by Kim Greenwood, a former Miss Tennessee USA and wife of entertainer and Grammy award winner, Lee Greenwood.
