45-and-Over Softball League

SoftballCome and play in this exciting new Men’s Adult 45-and-Over Softball League. Register your team today. Registration is currently under way and deposits of $100 per team are being accepted until August 19. All games are played at Heritage Park. Jammin’ in the Alley and Night Market is August 20

Jammin' in the Alley LogoThe City of Clarksville, together with U.S. Bank, will soon be Jammin’ in Strawberry Alley, and it will once again feature vendors from Clarksville’s weekly Downtown Market. Vendors will be set up from 5 to 8 p.m., and the free concert featuring The Next Level Band will begin at 7 p.m. In addition to the live music and market vendors, downtown restaurants will offer outdoor dining for Jammin’ in the Alley and night market patrons. Be Healthy, Let’s Step

Step Class

The Burt-Cobb Community Center is currently offering a class for girls, ages 9 to 17, to learn step exercise routines. The class meets every Tuesday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Classes are free but a community center ID card is required. Visit recpro.cityofclarksville.com to register today!

Clarksville Riverfest 2010

Riverfest 2011Join us for The City of Clarksville’s 24th Annual Riverfest Celebration September 9 & 10! This two-day music and art festival takes place along the Cumberland River at McGregor Park. This FREE event features delicious food, activities for kids of all ages and multiple stages of live entertainment. Don’t miss the festival’s other fun activities, such as the Riverfest Regatta, Lighted Boat Parade, Cornhole Tournament and much more! Movies in the Park

Movies in the ParkJoin us for the next Movies in the Park event, featuring the hit movie, “How to Train Your Dragon,” on Saturday, August 20, at Heritage Park Soccer Fields. All movies start at dusk with pre-show activities beginning an hour prior. Admission is free.

*NEW* Racquetball

RacquetballInterested in learning the basics of racquetball? Burt-Cobb Community Center, located at 1011 Franklin St., will be offering racquetball as part of its afterschool program. Classes will be from 4 to 5 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday, beginning August 29. Classes are open to youth ages 10 to 16 and are free. A community center ID card is required.

Military Support Night

The Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, will host its first-ever military support night on Tuesday, September 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. The center welcomes soldiers, current and retired, to enjoy refreshments and socialize the first Tuesday of every month. There is no fee and no ID card is required.
