New Animal Control Director Appointed

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Mayor’s Office is pleased to announce that Karen Josephson has been selected as the director of Animal Control. She brings over 25 years of management experience and 15 years as an independent animal rescuer to the Montgomery County facility.

 

Karen most recently served as the Director of Cheatham County Animal Control. As Director of Montgomery County Animal Control and Adoption Services, she will be working the mission of safety and humane animal control, while networking with surrounding areas to strengthen the region.
 
Karen has recently been awarded the Humane Heroes Award for Middle Tennessee for 2011 for her progressive Shelter Management, her community outreach and upholding animal law in her county. We are very pleased to have her on board, and look forward to seeing her enthusiasm and experience at work for the citizens and animals of Montgomery County.
