Montgomery County, TN – There was an accident around 8:00am today involving CMCSS bus 1052 on the 101st Parkway near the Fort Campbell Boulevard exit. There were no children on the bus, which serves West Creek Elementary.
There were no injuries to the CMCSS driver and aide.
Clarksville Police are investigating, but the preliminary investigation indicates that the bus entered the intersection on a green arrow and a car ran the red light and hit the bus. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to Gateway with non life-threatening injuries. There was significant damage to both vehicles and possibly a third vehicle.
Children who normally would ride this bus have been assigned to Bus 1261. The CMCSS Transportation Department has called all of the parents to keep them informed of the bus change and time for pickup.
