City of Clarksville Revenue Collections Office extends hours and accepts local utility bill payments

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Beginning Monday, October 3rd, 2011 the City of Clarksville Finance and Revenue Department will have extended office hours of 7:30am to 5:00pm in their Revenue Collections Office in order to better serve its citizens and make it more convenient for them to pay their property taxes and utility bills.

The Revenue Collections Office is located in the first floor of the City Hall building at One Public Square. The office collects revenue for property tax, personal property tax, general billings and parking tickets.

They also now accept payment for Clarksville Department of Electricity-Lightband utility bills, as well as, Clarksville Gas and Water utility bills. You must have your payment stub with you in order for the Revenue Collections office at City Hall to take your payment. The Revenue Collections Office will accept your payment stub and payment just like the local designated banks do for the utility departments. The Office cannot accept payment for utility bills without the appropriate payment stub.

“By making these changes, we hope to positively benefit our citizens, said Ben Griffin, Director of Finance, “we hope we can save them a few trips and show them we are here to help.”
The Finance and Revenue Department will also be sending out 2011 tax bills in late October. If you have any questions about revenue collections, tax bills or tax relief please call the Revenue Collections Office at 931.645.7436 during the office hours of 7:30am to 5:00pm.
