October Chamber of Commerce Events

Clarksville Area Chamber of CommerceClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events during the month of October.

On Thursday, October 13th, at 7:30am at the Riverview Inn, 50 College Street, the Chamber will be presenting a Power Breakfast. Join us in welcoming Joe Scarlett and learn about how the Tractor Supply Company transformed into what it is today. Scarlett served as the Chairman of Tractor Supply Company from 1979 until his retirement at the end of 2007.

In 2006, Scarlett and his family endowed the Scarlett Leadership Institute, which is based in Franklin, TN. The Institute is passionately committed to improving business leadership skills with a strong emphasis on ethical behavior. Scarlett will share why there is no substitute for high ethical standards and why following the high road will pay off.

The Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee will host the 19th Annual Veterans Day Breakfast at APSU’s Morgan University Center.  The event will start at 7:30am and include a buffet style breakfast and a salute to our Veterans. Major General James C. McConville will serve as the keynote speaker for this year’s breakfast. Tickets are on sale now and cost $12.00. A Women In Business will be held at 11:30am on November 10th at the Hilton Garden Inn, 290 Alfred Thun Road. Emily Ellis will be speaking on ways for great leaders to set their team up for success. Join us as Emily shares on how to keep that message and goal alive in your team or organization. You will be sure to enjoy how she tells  her story with such great humor and a positive attitude. On Thursday, November 17th for the Clarksville Young Professionals, is a free QuickBooks Seminar for both beginners and advanced users. Learn tricks and tips that can make navigating this commonly used software easy. This event will be held at Daymar Institute, 1860 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard at 8:30am-10:30am or 10:30am-12:30pm.
