Young African American Males in Crisis Forum

Wilbur N. Daniel African American Cultural Center (WNDAACC)Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Clarksville Alumni Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the William N. Daniel African American Cultural Center at Austin Peay State University is sponsoring a community forum on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm to discuss the plight of young African American Males in the greater Clarksville community.

A panel of concerned leaders in our community will be asked to address the educational, social and emotional state of young African American males. In addition, there will be time to answer questions and discuss comments from the audience.

Insights gained from the forum will be used to develop and launch Delta Sigma Theta’s EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) program in September 2012. Your active participation and input is critical to the development of a program that best suits our community.

We would especially like to hear from our young men!

Should you have question, please Shemka B. Johnson at 931-645-1566.
