Police Looking for Shooting Suspect

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are looking for a man with Four Aggravated Assault warrants on file stemming from an incident where shots were fired at several individuals. Police are also trying to identify two other men that were with the shooter at the scene.

On October 24th, 2011, around 9:45pm, Tyler Hodges Brown and two other males approached four men and a woman, ages ranging from 15-42 years old, in the 400 block of Circle Drive. They approached the group and asked the whereabouts of a specific 18 year old male. The 18 year old identified himself and Brown asked him to walk down the hill, which the male declined to do.

According to witness accounts, Brown started to walk away, turned, pointed a silver handgun, and starting firing rounds in the group’s direction. Everyone dropped to the ground to avoid the gunfire; no one was hit.

At that point, Brown and the two other men ran down the hill, fired more rounds, jumped into a white pick-up possibly with an extended cab, and quickly left the area.

During the course of Detective Josh Jobe’s investigation, Tyler Hodges Brown was identified as the man that produced a handgun at the scene and fired rounds toward the group. The incident may have been precipitated from an assault on a juvenile a few days earlier.
