Cunningham, TN – Stella Bertz Cheer For A Cure, an organization dedicated to raising cancer awareness and funding for cancer research, today announced the upcoming Cheer For A Cure® Championship to be held Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 at Montgomery Central High School.
Stella Bertz Cheer For A Cure®, a non-profit organization, was established in 2005 and has since grown into a national, community-based organization dedicated to raising funds in an effort to impact the lives of those who have been touched by cancer.
This is the nation’s largest grassroots network of cheerleaders, coaches, and supporting fans; striving to prevent cancer, save lives, and increase quality of life by funding research, education, advocacy, and service.
The event, a cheer and dance competition, is scheduled for Saturday, December 3rd at Montgomery Central High School located at 3955 Highway 48 in Cunningham, Tennessee. Registration for the event is now open and all cheer squads and dance teams, preschool age to adult, are invited to attend. The day’s events will also include 50/50 cash drawings, cheer apparel, and a variety of concessions.
Cheer For A Cure® Championship is Saturday, December 3rd at the Montgomery High School located at 3955 Highway 48 in Cunningham, Tennessee, with doors opening at 9:00am. The competition beings promptly at 10:00am. Admission is $5.00.
The Montgomery Central High School Varsity Cheerleaders dedicated the month of October to Breast Cancer Awareness. The program called “Cheer for A Cure” benefits the Stella Bertz Breast Cancer Foundation. They collected donations throughout the month with an October 7th football game dedicated to the cause.
All proceeds (100%) collected from registration, apparel sales, and donations go directly to Stella Bertz Cheer For A Cure®. Through the Cheer For A Cure® Championships held across the country, the organization has been able to fund research and programs that are helping in the fight against cancer, while promoting youth leadership and athletics.
