Clarksville, TN – Cumberland Radio Partners Inc is proud to announces the addition of Eddie Owen as co-host of the “Bone Show,” Clarksville’s longest-running morning talk show which can only be heard on WJZM 1400 AM; Clarksville’s oldest news, talk, and sports radio station. Owen will join Hank Bonecutter and producer, J. Duncan on the air, starting Monday morning.
Owen has an extensive resume of radio and television experience. Owen and Bonecutter were hosts of the wildly popular “Z Morning Zoo” during 1985-1986 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and both have a history with WJZM. He was general manager of WKAG television in Hopkinsville from 1994-2010, and was program director through August 2011. He has been a freelance writer for the cruise industry since leaving WKAG, and can be found on “The Examiner” an online newspaper.
During his time in television, Owen was responsible for all aspects of the station including news, engineering, sales and marketing, and show hosting. He has been a news anchor, on-camera weatherman, and host of a daily entertainment show and a seasonal Kentucky sports show called “Cat Calls”.
Hank Bonecutteer, the president of Cumberland Radio Partners and general manager of WJZM said, “I’m thrilled with being able to work with Eddie once again. He is extremely talented and knows his way around the radio station, and will be a tremendous asset to our show.”
Owen shares his excitement, “I’m as excited as I’ve ever been to be back on the radio, and especially being back on WJZM.” He continued, “WJZM is legendary in Clarksville, and working with Hank is going to be fun. He can be difficult at times, but we’ve known each other a long time, and have a great chemistry on the air.”
Owen will be replacing former Clarksville’s Best Buys Host Art Conn.
