Clarksville High School moved up to No. 4 in the poll and is 22-0 overall and 9-0 in District 10-AAA.

Also listed are the District standings for District 10-AAA, District 11-AA and District 10-A.

Internal Revenue Service - IRSNashville, TN – The Internal Revenue Service opened the 2012 electronic tax return filing season today with a reminder that e-file remains the best way to get fast refunds and ensure accurate tax returns, and that e-filing can be free for everyone through the IRS Free File program at www.IRS.gov.

Northeast High School is still ranked No. 4 in the latest poll, just as they were last week. The Eagles are 19-1 overall and in first place in District 10-AAA.

Land Between the Lakes Educational Field Trip Grants Available

 

Land Between the LakesGolden Pond, KY – Are you an educator interested in planning a field trip to experience the Land Between The Lakes (LBL) “outdoor classroom”?  If so, now is the time to apply for LBL’s Educational Field Trip Grant for the 2012-2013 school year.  The deadline for the field trip grant application is April 30th, 2012.

LBL’s Educational Field Trip Grant is available to public school districts within 100 miles of LBL. The grant assists schools in covering costs for transportation, facility admission fees, program costs, and dorm rental during the 2012-2013 school year.  The grant amount awarded to schools is based on the school’s matching funds, number of students, and LBL programs the school plans to participate in. «Read the rest of this article»

Austin Peay State University Provost Lecture Series to focus on Chinese Guzheng

Small Fire at Kenwood High School today

 

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemMontgomery County, TN – There was a small fire in an English classroom at Kenwood High School around 11:00am today. The fire was extinguished but all students were evacuated and the Clarksville Fire Department did respond. No one was injured.

Alive at 25 Driving Course Offered for Free

 

Montgomery CountyMontgomery County, TN – Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for ages 15-19 in the United States. In an effort to lower this statistic, the Montgomery County General Sessions Judges have agreed to offer the “Alive at 25” driving class to local high school students free of charge for the next three months.
