Fort Campbell’s Dale Wayrenen Recreation Center March Activities

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Spring is almost here and the Dale Wayrenen Recreation Center has activities to help you welcome it.

On March 4th, D.W. Rec will be holding a Talent Contest. The contestant meeting will be at 2:00pm and the contest will start at 3:00pm. Trophies will be awarded to the top two finishers in the following adult categories:  vocal, vocal/instrumental (group or soloist), vocal group, vocal duet, dance, instrumental, spoken word and specialty for ages 13 to 18 and 6 to 12.

“Movie and Popcorn” will be held on March 11th at 2:00pm. D.W. Rec will be showing a recently released movie suitable for most ages. Bring your Family and enjoy a good movie and free popcorn.

Dale Wayrenen Recreation Center will be open on February 20th (President’s Day) from 11:00am until 8:00pm. A wide variety of activities will be available for you to enjoy.

Think you can play Dominos. Put it to the test. D.W. Rec will be holding a Post Wide Dominos Tournament on March 18th at 2:00pm. This tournament is open to all eligible MWR patrons and the top three finishers will receive trophies.

On March 25th at 2:00pm, D.W. Rec will be holding a Madden 12 Video Game Tournament. This tournament is open to all eligible MWR patrons. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers.

Brunch with the Easter Bunny!  Bring the kids and enjoy pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice and milk with the Easter Bunny on March 31st at 10:00am. There will be photo opportunities, a coloring contest and door prizes. Cost of the event is $3.00 for ages 12 and under and $5.00 for ages over 12 if tickets are purchased by close of business on March 29th. March 30th tickets will cost $5.00 for those 12 and under and $7.00 for those over 12, all tickets will be $10.00 at the door IF food is available, so stop by the recreation center and purchase those tickets early.

DW Rec. is committed to providing Soldiers and Families a quality of life that is commensurate with their service through quality Recreation, Travel and Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) programs and services. The BOSS program is proudly sponsored by USAA.

The DW Recreation Center is located at 6145 Desert Storm Avenue. All eligible participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who remains present the entire time.
