Rick Santorum excited about success in Michigan Primary and looks ahead to Super Tuesday on the Steve Gill Show

The Steve Gill ShowNashville, TN – Appearing on the Nashville-based nationally syndicated Steve Gill Show, GOP Presidential candidate Rick Santorum said he was excited about coming into Mitt Romney’s home state of Michigan, getting outspent by anywhere from six to twelve to one and still coming out of the battleground state with at least as many delegates as Romney.

“We’ve been able to do amazing things with limited resources and the other night for the first time you heard Governor Romney go out there and say ‘we need more money’,” Santorum noted.

“We have had a great month of raising money in February with between $8-9 million raised in the month alone and over 120,000 donors – with about two thirds of those donors being donors of under $100 while only about 9% of Governor Romney’s donors are small dollar donors. So we feel very good about the grassroots support we have propelling us into Super Tuesday,” Santorum said. “There is one candidate here who can do a lot with a little,” Santorum added, “and that’s the kind of leadership we need.”

Looking ahead Santorum felt “very, very good that they came into Romney’s home state, his backyard, got outspent badly and come out of with as many or more delegates as he did. This is a real bump for us going into Ohio, Oklahoma and Tennessee on Super Tuesday and Washington state this Saturday. Oklahoma, Ohio and Tennessee are in our “wheelhouse” and we will be working them hard in the next week.” Santorum pointed out that his national appeal separates him from Newt Gingrich who has really been focused on winning in his home state Georgia the past few weeks.
