Blanchfield Army Community Hospital offers limited services during Staff Education Day

Blanchfield Army Hospital - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) will limit services Friday, March 16th during a staff education event. Nearly every BACH staff member will take part in this educational event, therefore all BACH clinics will be closed, including the Screaming Eagle Medical Home, the Byrd Clinic and all Soldier Health clinics.

The Emergency and Urgent Care centers will remain open to provide acute and emergency medical care.

While the Main Pharmacy within the hospital will be closed Friday, the Town Center Pharmacy, located on Michigan Avenue, will be open from 8:00am to 5:00pm with the last ticket given at 4:45pm.

Each year, BACH leadership arranges a Continuing Medical Education Day to allow staff members to refresh their educational skill set.

“Patient care processes and advances in medicine are reviewed so that beneficiaries receive the most current and quality medical service available,” said Deputy Commander for Clinical Services Col. Michael Wirt.

During this important education day, medical providers will benefit from continued medical education to help them save lives and promote healthy and resilient Soldiers, Retirees and Families. Administrative staff members will sharpen their skills so they can continue to offer safe medical practices and excellent customer service.

“Soldiers, Retirees and their Families deserve the latest proven treatment practices in health and wellness,” said hospital commander Col. Paul R. Cordts. “Programs such as the BACH Continuing Medical Education Day help ensure our providers and staff members hone their skills and are trained to incorporate the latest medical advancements.”
