Fort Campbell’s Dale Wayrynen Recreation Center April Activities

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Spring is here and Dale Wayrynen Recreation Center has activities to help you welcome it. On April 1st, D.W. Recreation will be holding a Post Wide Table Tennis Tournament starting at 2:00pm.

This tournament is open to all eligible MWR patrons. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent while they are in the building. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in several categories.

On Easter Sunday (April 8th), join D.W. Rec for a traditional Easter egg hunt. Prizes will be awarded for finding the special candy in each age group. Children who are walking through 2 year olds will hunt eggs at 2:30pm; 3 year olds will hunt at 3:00pm; 4 to 5 year olds will hunt at 3:30pm; 6 to 7 year olds will hunt at 4:00pm; 8 to 9 year olds will hunt at 4:30pm; and 10 to 12 year olds will hunt at 5:00pm. Bring a basket or bag to put your candy in. The rain date is April 15th.

A Call of Duty MW3 Tournament will be held on April 15th, starting at 2:00pm. This tournament is open to all eligible MWR patrons age 18 and over. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers.

A Family friendly movie will be shown on the large screen TV and free popcorn will be served at Movie and Popcorn on April 22nd at 2:00pm.

Come showcase your talents on April 29th when D.W. Rec will be holding a Talent Contest.  The contestant meeting will be at 2:00pm and the contest will start at 3:00pm. Trophies will be awarded to the top two finishers in the following adult categories:  vocal, vocal/instrumental (group or soloist), vocal group, vocal duet, dance, instrumental, spoken word and specialty, in addition there will be a category for 13 to 18 year olds and 6 to 12 year olds.

DW Rec. is committed to providing Soldiers and Families a quality of life that is commensurate with their service through quality Recreation, Travel and Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) programs and services. The BOSS program is proudly sponsored by USAA. The DW Recreation Center is located at 6145 Desert Storm Avenue. All eligible participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who remains present the entire time.
