Fort Campbell’s Army Family Team Building Night Owl Classes Are Back

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Now that you have joined the Army Family, learn more about the Army and its traditions through Army Family Team Building (AFTB). The AFTB Night Owl classes are just what new or seasoned Soldiers, Spouses, Families, retirees and civilian employees need.

AFTB Level I is designed to introduce individuals to the Army way of life. Topics covered include tips on developing realistic expectations, military acronyms and terms, understanding the Chain of Command, military customs and courtesies, basic military benefits, and introduction to military and civilian community resources.

AFTB Level II is a personal growth course and discusses topics such as communication, personal time management, stress management, team dynamics, personal conflict management, creative problem solving and crisis coping and grieving.

AFTB Level III further explores professional development and is highly recommended for future leaders. Students will learn about communication skills for leaders, leadership styles, building cohesive teams, managing group conflict, meeting management and coaching and mentoring.

Army Family Team Building Night Owl ClassesIn addition, AFTB will introduce participants to the Family Readiness Group (FRG), Family Financial Readiness, and much more.

Night Owl classes will be held from 5:30pm until 8:30pm during the following dates: Level I – April 16th-18th, Level II – April 30th-May 3rd, and Level III – May 21st-24th. Participants can take classes in any order. Classes and childcare are held at the Family Resource Center (FRC) located at 1501 William C. Lee Road, right inside Gate 1.

Both childcare and the class are provided by Army Community Service (ACS). Children must be registered with Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) prior to enrollment in the class and reservations for childcare close one week prior to class.
