Austin Peay State University GovernorsClarksville, TN – Sophomore Rolando Gautier’s grand slam was the first of three home runs and sophomore Ryan Quick bounced back from a rough first inning as Austin Peay State University’s baseball team won its fifth straight game, 10-2, against UT Martin in Ohio Valley Conference action, Friday night, at Raymond C. Hand Park.

Red Cross to host first ever Escoffier Dinner

 

American Red CrossClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County chapter of the American Red Cross presents the first annual “Escoffier Dinner, The Art of French Cuisine” at the Looking Glass Restaurant on April 21st at 6:00pm.  Proceeds from the event will benefit the local chapter of the Red Cross.  Dr. Mac and Linda Edington and Dr. Ernie and Joan DeWald are co-chairing the event together and will host it at the Looking Glass restaurant.  Wines will be provided by Fifth City Wine.

Both Fifth City Wine and the Looking Glass are the major sponsors for the event.

Fort Campbell’s 3rd Brigade Combat Team’s Unique Mentorship Course Aims at Saving Lives

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionRakkasanFort Campbell, KY – Rakkasan soldiers are well-known for how hard they train for the dangers they face on the battlefield. Similarly, they prepare for the unpredictable hazards they may encounter on the roadways.

On March 21st, 2012, soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), gathered to stress the importance of safety during the Rakkasan Motorcycle Mentorship Course here at Fort Campbell, KY.

Anthony Cristosomo, 1st Sgt., Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (AASLT), observes two of his soldiers navigate the obstacle course during the 3BCT Motorcycle Mentorship Course at Fort Campbell, Ky, Mar. 21, 2012. The main goal of Alpha Sigma Lambda is to recognize the special achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work.

The Customs House Museum reopens 1898 Building with an Open House Event April 28th

 

The Customs House Museum and Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – After months of renovation, the Customs House 1898 building will be reopening on April 28th.

In February, Customs House Museum closed the doors to its 1898 building in order to replace nine undersized, outdated, and malfunctioning Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning units (HVAC) with four commercial units.

Fort Campbell Riding Stables Annual Easter Sunrise Trail Ride

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Join the Fort Campbell Riding Stables, on Sunday, April 8th, for their annual Easter Sunrise Trail Ride.

FCRS staff will guide you through the woods of Fort Campbell and out into a clearing by Lake Taal, where you will enjoy an Easter service and breakfast sermon as the sun rises behind the Chaplin.
