The tournament is played at the 6,565-yard, par-72, RidgePointe Country Club with 36 continuous holes, Monday, followed by an 18-hole final round, Tuesday. It will be the season’s largest field for the Govs, including Ohio Valley Conference rivals Jacksonville State, Eastern Illinois, Murray State, UT Martin, Tennessee State and SIU Edwardsville.

Other notable teams include host Arkansas State, Vanderbilt, Louisiana-Monroe, Belmont, Drake and DePaul.

“The guys are determined to play well this week,” head coach Kirk Kayden said. “It will be very helpful that three of them have played the golf course before. This week will be a good indicator of where we stand against some of our conference schools.”

There is no better indicator of how well the Govs have played against Ohio Valley Conference schools than Austin Peay’s 19-0 head-to-head record against the league. That much will be on the line this week as Kayden’s team looks to bounce back from a season-worst ninth-place finish and a season-high 324 final round, at the UALR First-Tee Classic.

Kayden will play a similar lineup with Anthony Bradley, Marco Iten, Dustin Korte, Trey Tarpley and Tucker Wallace. The battle for the top spot has been a good one for the Govs. Iten was the Govs top finisher at the UALR First-Tee Classic, but Bradley has five top-10 finishes while Korte has four.
