Austin Peay State University Extended Education offers Spring Classes starting April 15th, 2012

Early Registration Discount on Selected Courses

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Develop a new skill, explore a new idea, learn a new language, or seek a new career with one of the spring classes from Austin Peay State University’s Center for Extended and Distance Education.

Register early and receive a 10 percent discount on selected courses. Preregistration is required for each course.

Languages

ESL – Intermediate Conversation will meet from 9:00am–11:00am, Saturdays, April 28th–June 9th at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 206. (course $150.00, supply $10.00)

ESL – Beginning Conversation will meet from 6:00pm–8:00pm, Mondays, April 30th–June 11th at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 206. (course $150.00, supply $10.00)

ESL – TOEFL Preparation Intermediate/Advanced will meet from 6:00pm–8:00pm, Mondays, April 30th–June 11th at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 204. (course $150.00, supply $10.00)

ESL – Intermediate Business English will meet from 6:00pm–8:00pm, Tuesdays, May 1st–June 5th at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 206. (course $150.00, supply $10.00)

ESL – Advanced Grammar and Writing will meet from 6:00pm–8:00pm, Thursdays, May 3rd–June 7th at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 204. (course $150.00, supply $10.00)

Test prep

Cracking the ACT—ACT Test Prep will meet from 9:00am-11:00am, Saturdays, April 21st–May 19th at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 203. (course $124.00, text $26.00, lab $5.00)

Professional development

Human Resources Certificate – Part 3 will meet from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Thursdays, May 3rd-31st at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 203. (course $124.00, supply $7.00)

Parenting and divorce

Parenting and Divorce, the court-mandated seminar for divorcing parents, will meet in Montgomery County from 9:00am–1:00pm, on Saturday, April 28th from noon–4:00pm at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 203. (course $40.00, text $15.00)

Parenting and Divorce, the court-mandated seminar for divorcing parents, will meet in Dickson County from 9:00am–1:00pm, Saturday, April 21st and again on May 5th at the Renaissance Center, Room 220. (course $40.00, text $15.00)

Tennessee Small Business Development Center

Owning Your Own Business will meet from 10:30am–1:30pm, Tuesday, April 17th at APSU’s Morgan University Center. (free)

Building a Business Plan will meet from 11:30am–1:30pm, Thursday, April 19th at Heritage Bank, Ashland City. (free)

Veteran’s Outreach Event will take place from 10:00am–3:00pm, Friday, April 20th at William O. Beach Civic Hall, Veterans Plaza, Clarksville. (free)

Starting and Financing a Small Business will meet from 10:00am– noon, Tuesday, April 24th at the ACS-ACAP Center, Fort Campbell, KY. (free)

The Center for Extended and Distance Education offers interactive television (ITV or videoconferencing) services. ITV provides essential real-time communication capability for a variety of functions.  Details are available at www.apsu.edu/ext-ed/itv.
