Fort Campbell’s 101st Sustainment Brigade “Lifeliners” receive Bronze Star Medals

Fort Campbell, KY – Twenty-two Soldiers from the 101st Sustainment Brigade received their end of tour awards from recent deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq at a ceremony here Tuesday.

Brig. Gen. Jeffrey N. Colt, deputy commanding general (support), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), hosted the ceremony and presented the awards.

Staff Sgt. Luis M. Velez was awarded an Army Commendation Medal with Valor for his actions during an attack at Forward Operating Base Gamberi, April 16th, 2011.

Soldiers from the Special Troops Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, received Bronze Star Medals from their deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Those Soldiers include: Maj. Jason A. Cole, Maj. Jeremiah S. O’Connor, Cpt. Patrick E. Lee, Cpt. Victor R. Vera, Sgt Maj. Jorge R. Chavez-Rey, Sgt. Maj. Jennifer Love, Sgt. 1st Class Kerry J. Peay, Sgt. 1st Class Tommy R. Phillips and Sgt. 1st Class Steven C. Weber.

Soldiers from the 372nd Inland Cargo Transfer Company, 129th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, received Bronze Star Medals from their deployment in support of Operation New Dawn. Those Soldiers include: Cpt. Lenore Lopez, 1st Lt. Cameron M. Barnett, 1st Lt. Spencer F. Johnson, 1st Sgt. Gilbert M. Scott, Sgt. 1st Class Jonathan Douglas Jr., Staff Sgt. Bobby Cagle, Staff Sgt. Derek D. Dighton and Staff Sgt. Clifton L. Kennedy.

Soldiers of the 305th Quartermaster Company, 129th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, received Bronze Star Medals from their deployment in support of Operation New Dawn. Those Soldiers include: Cpt. Amber Grimsley, Cpt. Ervin J. Williams, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Rodolfo E. Duncan and Staff Sgt. Durvan A. Wallace.
