Musick comes to Austin Peay from Parkland College, in Champaign, IL, where she had an outstanding career as a forward, setting a program record with 30 career goals along with 10 assists. In her sophomore season, she was named first-team all-region, leading Parkland to its first region title game.

“We are excited about the addition of Jenny to our 2012 class,” Lady Govs head coach Kelley Guth said. “She had a tremendous junior college career and is extremely motivated and driven to compete at the highest level. We recognize the value of two junior college seasons and how that has helped Jenny develop as a player.”

Musick started at Parkland College in 2009, scoring 17 goals in 16 games as a freshman. The following year, she scored five goals in three games before a knee injury led to a redshirt. She returned in 2011 to finish second on the team with 13 goals.

“She’s a tenacious forward,” Guth said. “Her physical presence and work ethic will make her threat and strengthen our offensive unit next season. We look forward to what she will bring to the team.”

The Lady Govs return a large portion of its offense from last season, including leading goal scorers Tatiana Ariza and Emily Perkins. Musick becomes the fourth signee for 2012, joining Regan Colaner, of Cincinnati, OH; Nicole Filippone, of Ontario, Canada; and Melissa Fletcher, of Dade City, FL.
