Nick Steward to host Education Roundtable in Houston County and Humphreys County

Election 2012Clarksville, TN – Educaton is one of the most important investments we can make as a state. That is why I have spent several months evaluating the challanges that our community faces.

Spending time in McEwen High School (Humphreys County), Erin ElementarySchool  (Houston County), and New Providence Middle School (Montgomery County) gave me a great deal of insight.

But I want to meet with you to get more direct input from educators, administrators, and parents.

Please join Nick for an ‘Education Matters’ roundtable

Houston County roundtable meeting will be held this Saturday, April 28th from 1:30pm-2:30pm. The meeting will be at Court Square Cafe, 18 Court Square in Erin, TN.

Humphreys County roundtable meeting will be held this Saturday, April 28th from 3:00pm-4:00pm. The meeting will be at Samuel’s on the Square, 117 North Court Square in Waverly, TN.

No child left behind, race to the top, teacher evaluations, vouchers, school choice; our education system faces many pressures in an effort to teach our kids. Its vital that leaders hear from the teachers in classrooms and the administrators who implement policies, as well as us as parents. You can’t represent people if you don’t communicate with them.

I am running to bring a new vision and new leadership to the people of Houston, Humphreys and Montgomery Counties because it matters who leads in the effort to help shape the next generation in our community.
