Nashville Takes Three Of Four From Division Leaders In Homestand
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds’ attempt to record a sweep of division-leading Omaha was thwarted as on Thursday evening as Nashville fell 3-1 to the Storm Chasers at Greer Stadium.
Nashville (8-18) took three of the four during the series, however, and have won four of their last five contests as they prepare to embark upon their third road trip of the season.

Clarksville, TN – With little margin for error, Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team will head to Cape Girardeau, MO, this weekend to participate in the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championships.
Clarksville, TN – On Thursday, May 3rd, 2012, Clarksville Police Officers took into custody one adult male and one juvenile male who have been charged with the April 29th shooting death of 22 year old, Fort Campbell soldier, Taylor Hotzoglou on Victory Road.
The adult male is Giovanni Johnson who gave a Victory Road address. Mr. Johnson is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail.
Clarksville, TN – On June 1st and 2nd, there will be a Men’s Basketball Tournament at the Clarksville Academy Gym to benefit the Lady Shooters Basketball team. The entry fee is $200.00 per team and must be paid in advance. Team members must be male and ages 18 and up.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team will look to bounce back from its first Ohio Valley Conference series loss since 2010 when it travels for a three-game league set at SIU Edwardsville.
The two teams will begin their series with a 6:00pm, Friday contest at Simmons Baseball Complex in Edwardsville, IL, before 1:00pm contests both Saturday and Sunday.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University recently launched the inaugural APSU Goes Global program, an international service-learning opportunity now open to juniors in the President’s Emerging Leaders Program (PELP) and TRiO Student Support Services.
APSU Goes Global is led by Dr. Matthew Kenney, director of the President’s Emerging Leaders Program and associate professor of political science.
Cunningham, TN – On Saturday, May 5th, Scout Troop 546 is having a big fund raising Yard Sale at the Central Civitan Building 1/2 mile down Hwy 13 from the 13/48 split on the right. The sale starts at 7:00am.
There will be alittle bit of everything at the sale. Donations of items for the sale will also be taken. All proceeds goes towards the Philmont, New Mexico hiking trip this Summer.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Department reports the increased traffic enforcement on Tiny Town Road yielded positive results. There was only one accident on Tiny Town Road on April 30th, 2012.
It was a minor hit and run accident which occurred about 8:00am near the intersection of Tiny Town Road/Trenton Road. There were 81 traffic stops with 97 citations written—74 speeding, 18 insurance law, 2 registration, 2 revoked/suspended license, 1 child restraint, and 1 other driver license violation.
