Clarksville Area Ministerial Association Luncheon

Clarksville Area Ministerial Association Clarksville, TN – On May 17th, 2012 the Clarksville Area Ministerial Association (CAMA) held its final luncheon meeting until fall. After prayer and a hearty meal prepared by Hilldale UMC volunteers, the meeting began with a treasurer’s report and updates about the new officers for CAMA that will begin their appointed roles concluding the summer break.

Pastor Steve Estep then presented Clarksville-Montgomery County School System Director Mike Harris with a gift on behalf of CAMA and allowed him to speak a few heartfelt words summarizing his tenure as CMCSS Director and his future plans.

Special Guest Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers then gave an overview of progress being made in our community through collaboration between the County, the City, businesses, and the support of the faith based community.

The meeting concluded with the diverse group of pastors, elected officials, and community leaders singing “Blessed Assurance” then praying over the Clarksville-Montgomery County area.

City Councilman Richard "Reason" Garrett has gained extensive business knowledge and negotiating skills as the Executive Director of the LEAP Organization.  LEAP Org provides youth development services.  As a licensed realtor for Keller Williams Realty, he is known for his tenacity, perseverance, honesty, and fairness.  A proud APSU alum, Richard graduated with Honors with a Bachelors in Public Management.
Richard is a former active duty Marine, father of 4, and a husband with strong ties to the community. He is a graduate of Leadership Clarksville and a member of Clarksville Rotary, Clarksville Area Ministerial Association, Chamber of Commerce, Clarksville Association of Realtors Public Relations & Charity Relations Committees, and Clarksville Community Partners Group.
