Clarksville Police Department Reports the Death of Evelyn Dean after Dover Road Accident

Clarksville, TN – Evelyn Dean of Woodlawn, TN, has died from the injuries she sustained during a May 18th, 2012 crash on Dover Rd. She was 85 years old.

The crash occurred on May 18th, 2012 around 2:00pm. Dean who was driving a KIA Sportage, pulled out of Donna Drive directly in front of an Isuzu Rodeo which was traveling west on Dover Road, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles.

The vehicle with Ms. Dean was impacted on the driver side. She was transported to Gateway Hospital, and then later transferred to Vanderbilt Medical Center where she passed as a result of her injuries on May 28th, 2012.

No one else was injured in the crash.

According to McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, who are handling the arrangements,  a graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, June 2nd at the Dotsonville Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Herbert McFadden officiating.

Obituary

Evelyn Dean was born June 3rd, 1926, the daughter of Henry and Esther Schmittou Gill. She was formerly employed as an office manager. She belonged to The Daughter’s of the American Revolution, and the Ajax Turner Senior’s Center Bridge Club.

Survivors include her sons, George F. Brown of Clarksville, Robert Brown of Seattle, WA, and William Brown of Jacksonville, FL; along with grandchildren, Cherrie, Michael, Ashley, Amy and Tuesday.

Members of the Family will be serving as her Pallbearers.
